Acceptable Use Policy VortexHost
Rules for using VortexHost services safely, legally and without harming other customers or our network.
VortexHost services must not be used for abuse, illegal activity or anything that damages other customers, our network, third parties or our reputation.
Acceptable Use Policy
1. Prohibited Activity
You must not use VortexHost services for:
- Phishing, credential theft, impersonation or fraud.
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, botnets or command-and-control systems.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk email, email harvesting or mail abuse.
- DDoS attacks, stressers, booters, packet flooding or attack coordination.
- Hosting, linking to or distributing illegal content under UK law.
- Child sexual abuse material or exploitative content of any kind.
- Terrorism, extremist material or threats of violence.
- Copyright infringement, piracy, cracked software, stolen content or warez.
- Public proxy, open relay, VPN abuse or anonymisation services used for abuse.
- Cryptocurrency mining unless expressly agreed in writing.
- Harassment, doxxing, hate content or activity targeting individuals or groups unlawfully.
2. Resource Abuse
You must not run services that cause excessive CPU load, memory usage, disk I/O, network usage, storage abuse or instability on shared infrastructure. We may suspend or limit affected services to protect other customers.
3. Game Server Abuse
Game hosting must not be used to host malicious mods, stolen content, DDoS tools, bot services, exploit distribution, attack scripts or anything designed to compromise third-party servers, players or platforms.
4. Email Rules
You must only send legitimate email to recipients who expect to receive it. Bulk mail, spam, forged headers, purchased lists and repeated complaints may result in immediate suspension.
5. Security
You must keep scripts, CMS installations, WordPress plugins, themes and game server files updated. Compromised services may be suspended until cleaned and secured.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate abuse reports and may suspend, restrict or terminate services without prior notice where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached. Serious abuse may be reported to relevant authorities, registrars, payment providers or network operators.
7. No Refunds for Breach
Accounts or services terminated for breaching this Acceptable Use Policy are not eligible for refunds.
