Refund Policy VortexHost
Refund rules for hosting, game servers, domains, custom services, abuse terminations and chargebacks.
This policy explains when refunds may and may not be available. It does not affect legal rights that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Refund Policy
1. General Position
Hosting services are billed in advance. Refunds are considered according to this policy and the type of service ordered.
2. Shared and WordPress Hosting
We may offer a discretionary refund on shared or WordPress hosting if requested within 14 days of the first order, provided the service has not been used for abuse, excessive resource consumption, email abuse, fraud or policy breaches.
3. Game Hosting
Game hosting is provisioned with allocated resources and may be non-refundable once provisioned. Any refund is at our discretion unless required by law.
4. Domains
Domain registrations, renewals, transfers and redemption fees are non-refundable once submitted to the registry or registrar.
5. VPS, Dedicated or Custom Services
VPS, dedicated server, custom hosting, custom setup and special order services are non-refundable once provisioned or work has started, unless we agree otherwise in writing or a refund is required by law.
6. Abuse, Breach and Termination
No refund will be provided where a service is suspended or terminated for abuse, illegal activity, fraud, chargebacks, spam, malware, phishing, DDoS activity, copyright abuse, harassment, resource abuse or breach of our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Chargebacks
Opening a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first may result in immediate suspension or termination of all services on the account. Chargeback-related terminations are not eligible for refunds.
8. Cancellations
Customers are responsible for cancelling services before renewal if they no longer require them. Failure to use a service does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
9. How to Request a Refund
